Official presentation to the D.N.C.D.

On October 1, 2019, Vice Admiral Félix ALBURQUERQUE COMPRES, President of the DNCD, received the French delegation at the DNCD offices in Santo Domingo. On this occasion, Commissioner General Henri CASTETS, Internal Security Attaché in Haiti, who took up his duties in September 2019, and Police Captain Nicolas GONGORA, International Technical Expert in charge of organized crime and drug trafficking, were officially introduced.

The meeting focused on the continuation of the ALCORCA 2 project, with its extension to the English-speaking Caribbean islands, as well as the European team mentioned by the French Minister of the Interior after the launch, on 17 September 2019, of the national plan to combat drug trafficking in France.

The President of the DNCD assured all the members of the French delegation and the Homeland Security Attaché of his full support in terms of technical and operational cooperation between France and the Dominican Republic.

Official presentation to the Dominican National Police

The Director General of the National Police, Major General Ney Aldrin Bautista Almonte, greeted the French delegation composed of Commissioner General Henri CASTETS,  Internal Security Attaché in Haiti, Police Captain Nicolas GONGORA, coordinator of the ALCORCA 2 programme and Commander Bruno CHANTREUX, Liaison Officer for the Fight against Organised Crime. The meeting focused on the worrying situation in Haiti, the migratory risks caused by the crisis and the possible repercussions in the Dominican Republic.

Official presentation to the Magistrate in charge of extraditions and international affairs

On October 2, 2019, the French delegation was received at the Dominican Supreme Court of Justice by Mrs. Gisela CUETO, Deputy Attorney General, and her team.  Commissioner General Henri CASTETS, Internal Security Attaché in Haiti and Captain Nicolás GONGORA, International Technical Expert on Organized Crime, were officially introduced.

Mrs. Gisela CUETO emphasized the quality of the existing cooperation between the Dominican Justice and the French liaison officers present in the Dominican Republic.

This meeting offered the opportunity of exchanges on the ongoing cases supervised by the Commander Bruno CHANTREUX and the Major Axel GROT.
