   Workshop on the importance of international cooperation

 

During this workshop, with the presence of the French internal security and customs attachés, police and armed forces officials, participated representatives of the beneficiary partner countries of the program, as well as professional in the fight against organized crime in the region.

Barbados, Dominica, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago met with the delegations of Cuba, Haiti, Jamaica, and of the Dominican Republic, in a workshop on the need to strengthen regional and international cooperation, stressing that the efforts done at national levels in  the fight against drug trafficking are not enough.

Judges, prosecutors, French and Dominican investigating judges shared their experiences presenting concrete cases of international cooperation after exposing some of the legal tools and relevant international convention.
